One of the best ways to start writing Chinese characters is by learning the 8 Basic Strokes of Chinese calligraphy: 點 (dot), 横 (line), 撇 (curve), 捺 (press), 豎 (vertical), 折 (corner), 鈎 (hook), and 提 (pick).
Here are 6 simple Chinese characters that use these basic strokes, why not try them out with your little ones: 一 (one), 十 (ten), 土 (earth), 口 (mouth), 日 (sun), 田 (field). See if you can point out the strokes in each character!
You'll need: a colour printer + 2 sheets of A4 or letter size paper. Laminate the writing sheets out for multiple use.
